それこそ何曲あるか知らないけど、思いつくまま何曲か紹介。トミー・ドーシー楽団でフランク・シナトラが歌った “Polka Dots and Moonbeams” は素敵な曲。“Polka Dots” とは「水玉模様」のこと。
デューク・エリントンの “Moonglow”。この曲もいろいろカバーがあるけれど、ジャングル・サウンドがなぜかこの曲にあう。
1909年に作られたという “By the Light of the Silvery Moon”。ここではドリス・デイとゴードン・マクレイのデュエットを紹介しておく。
